Adam has a research group at UC San Diego.

The research group’s analysis is that institutions and political systems, left to their typical devices, are simply incapable of stopping with fossil energy and fossil finance: they will need to be pushed from below by grassroots pressure and advocacy at the local, state and national levels. Yet the grassroots collective action movement is tiny, and too few people engage in advocacy. The group (which is connected with the Green New Deal at UCSD) is doing research to better understand how to grow both activism and advocacy.

Research of this kind needs support from Donors and Foundations – please contact the author if you are interested to help.
